1. What is screen printing?

   Screen printing is also known as silk screening. It is the process where a mesh is stretched over a frame and a stencil is created and applied to the mesh. Ink is then placed on the mesh and forced through the openings of the stencil to imprint a design on an object (substrate).

2. How long does it take to complete a screen printing job?

   There are a few factors that contribute to the amount of time it takes to complete a job for a client. The first is the availability of the substrates the client wishes to have their design printed on. For example, If you wish to use American Apparel garments we would need to place an order with them and wait to have it shipped to us. Other than that, if your artwork is ready to go, it shouldn’t take too long. We often ask our clients to expect to wait approximately two weeks for their job to be completed, however, we have yet to take that long to complete a job.

3. Can clients provide their own garments to be printed?

   We prefer to print on materials we purchase from our wholesalers for a number of reasons. The first reason is that we are familiar with the material’s composition and don’t need to expose ourselves to harmful chemicals that reside in some companies’ products. The second reason has to do with misprints. Occasionally a garment is misprinted and we need to replace it. If the garment is provided by the client, we may not be able to replace it with the exact same brand. Lastly, we are able to get our printables at a very reasonable price. With markup and the printing done, we are still able to provide you with a quality product at a very good price. You save money in the long run, and we may make an extra buck or two.
