What is Screen Printing
Screen printing is a printing technique where ink is pushed through a stencil on a fine mesh screen onto a surface. The screen blocks the ink in certain areas to create the desired image or design. It’s commonly used for making custom t-shirts, posters, and other items with bold, vibrant designs.

Resolution:
- Artwork should be created at 300 DPI.
File Types:
- PSD where each colour is on its own layer –this gives us the greatest flexibility when separating colours and creating films.
Size:
Submitted artwork should be the actual print size or larger.
Background:
Use a transparent background.
Effects:
Avoid shadows and gradients. These can be achieved with halftones. but will incur an art fee.
Text:
Rasterize/Flatten all fonts before sending, or include your fonts when sending us your files for printing..
Colours:
- If you need a specific colour, please include the colour’s Pantone Coated , and we will do our best to match.
- Small orders may incur a mixing fee.
Vector Artwork Requirements:
File Types:
AI, EPS, SVG
Size:
Vector art scales easily, but submitting artwork at the desired size for printing expedites the process.
Layers:
- Use separate layers or groups for each color separation.
- Ensure all artwork is fully vectored, as there should not be any raster images.
Transparency:
Background should be transparent.
Text:
Convert all text to outlines/curves to prevent font issues.
- If you want your font to be editable, please send us your unique font files.
Strokes & Paths:
- Expand strokes to ensure that they don’t change proportions when resized.
Colors:
- If you need a specific colour, please include the colour’s Pantone number (coated).
- We will do our best to match.
- Small orders may incur a mixing fee.
